Convert a confirmed reservation e-mail into a list tasks for your helpers

As a host, we keep fighting against the lock as to host your guests in time. Especially when this is on top of your existing daily job !


For this reason, I keep questioning myself about most efficient way to run my hosting activity so to ever improve my guests experience and mine !

Anyway, enough talk, I will share with you in this post on how to efficiently organize a guest arrival and that is right from the minute you receive your reservation confirmation e-mail.


How does it feel to receive this notification sms ? 

a. I am happy and smile and ... of course pray that next guests are quiete and respectful to the  neighbours and my place ; 
b. I get into the e-mail to read more details : 
c. I contact my helping housekeeper to ask him block his calendar for the arrival day at 11:00 am;
d. I create an "order" in my accounting system so all financial reporting follows;
e.  etc , etc. 


To keep the long story short, here is an example below. Most important informatino is : 

a. Apartment name       ==> For housekeeping assignment
b. Reservation number ==> For accounting reconciliation
c. Check-in date           ==> For housekeeping ==> 11:00 Am ; 
d. check-out date          ==> For housekeeping ==> 11:00;
e. Number of guests     ==> For housekeeping ==> preparing the right number of sheets ; 




Now, let the magic do the work for you ! 

 Now, let all these things happen without you to interfere. 
a. The incoming e-mail will create an entry in the housekeeper google Calendar . He will accept or refuse ;
b. The e-mail will create an entry in the accounting software with the right amounts ;
